CALIFORNIA

On the road to California!
In October we made our way to California with an overnight pit stop in Vegas
Thanks to my parents we had the opportunity to go to San Diego for a week.
We had such a good time hanging out with all of my family.
We stayed in a beautiful condo with an incredible view right on the ocean!

We took many walks along the boardwalk.
The weather wasn't perfect but we didn't let it stop us from having fun.
This was our condo right on the beach, we stayed on the 6th floor
This was our view from inside..we spent one morning dolphin watching!
It was incredible we could see them out there playing and diving in the ocean.
Riley thought it was the coolest thing ever!
The first day there we hung out with our cousins
Kyle, Will, & Pammie (Keller is down on the beach)
We got to play on the beach
 We played in the ocean
We got buried in the sand (just to keep warm)
The next day we visited the AeroSpace Museum
We mined for gold at the Mormon Fort in San Diego
And washed some clothes the old school way!
Our trip to San Diego was not complete without a stop at SeaWorld.
We went with G&G, Lindsey, my brother Chad and his fam, my sister Angela and her fam.
It was cloudy..again..but we had fun :)
Riley's favorite part of SeaWorld is watching the dolphins and she wanted to touch one SOOO bad,
so we got really close...
And the smart little dolphins soaked Rayden!!!
You would think they learned their lesson, but...
No, Ryker got a nice soaking...and
Riley was drenched and not too happy about it!
We had only been there maybe 30min, so they were wet and smelled like dolphin food!
We watched alot of fun shows while we there
We found time to play in the play area
Grampy & Grammy with most of their grandkids
We had another cold day on the beach

This as far as my feet got in the ocean
We spent a day in downtown SanDiego walking around
 We toured the USS Midway
Fun tour but very small spaces
The top of the ship with some airplanes
One of the few sunsets we got to see, but so beautiful!
We had a family photo shoot on one of the few sunny days
We played in the heated pool
 Another walk along the boardwalk

We walked out to the end of the Pier
The last day we were there the tide was out really far and you could walk forever it was so cool!
Our beautiful condo with the amazing view
On our way out of town we drove by the San Diego Temple.
I think this is one of the most beautiful temples
We stopped in Vegas for the weekend and blessed Radlyn
Alot of our family was there for it and it was so sweet of them!
It also happened to be my Mother-in-laws birthday that same day so we got to celebrate with her and all but one of her grandkids!
We spent the rest of the day with Jason's family, playing outside and going swimming
We also had to say good-bye to our doggie Reamer!
We decided that he would have a better home in Vegas with my sister and her family.
It was hard for the kids to say good-bye but we will get to visit him.
We had so much fun and really enjoyed being on vacation.  However packing for 4 kids for 10 days was really quite the undertaking!  Let's just say I am happy to stay in town for awhile, even though I am really going to miss being in Vegas for the holidays!

Radlyn Update

This little tiny thing has grown into quite the chunker.
It has been fun to watch her grow

Radlyn  & Rayden having some snuggle time

Sweet little baby
Riley getting in some snuggle time too!

We bought this Nap Nanny bed for Radlyn to help her not choke.
It was quite the investment but it seems to have worked wonders
Right before we were to go on our trip to California we took Radlyn up to Primary Children's for an ultrasound of her hips.  Her pediatrician just wanted to make sure she was ok so it was just to verify I guess.  Well we got up there and after the ultrasound the radiologist came in to tell me that she has Bilateral Hip Dysplasia.  Basically both of her hips are completely out of the sockets and back behind.  They think this happened because she was breech.  I was told it was urgent that I get into a pediatric ortho doc so he could get her into a harness.
So into the harness my sweet little girl went - for 2 1/2 long weeks (1/2 of which was on our vacation)
She couldn't wear pants with it, just a onsie and some baby legs.
We were told to come back in when we got back and they would do an ultrasound to see if the harness moved her hips into the right spot.....

We blessed our little sweetheart when we were in Vegas on Oct.23rd.
It turned out nice and we had lots of family there from both my side and Jason's

This is Radlyn at 3 months old...so cute and smiley!
The next day we went to her check up only to find out the harness had done nothing (and we kept her in it ALL the time) so we moved on to a new plastic harness, that isn't too horrible but only about a 50% chance it will work.  We go in next week Nov.18th, to find out if this did anything.  If not we will wait 6 weeks till she is a little older and then she will have to have surgery where they cut the ligament so they can pull the hips forward, put them back in the socket, and then put her in a half body cast for 3 months!  We are praying this harness works, but I guess we will find out next week.

This is the back of her harness
 Gotta love those cheeks
 Cute little bum!
This poor little girl has been thru alot but is still a happy sweet little baby!
We just lover her!

Ryker's Birthday

My little boy turned 6!
I can hardley believe that he has grown up so fast.  Kindergarten has really helped him grow up too.  He still has his "moments", but they seem to be less and less and I love it!

We decorated his room with balloons since I knew I wouldn't be able to go to the store and get helium ones.
He was very surprised when he woke up!

He got a new Wii game from Grammy

And he said I did awesome when he pulled out his pogo stick,
which he figured out real quick!

He chose "the place with the phones" (Training Table) for dinner

I had planned on doing a huge party for him but he couldn't decide what to do and who to invite and he told me he couldn't play with that many friends at one time, so he asked if he could just take one friend to the jump house.  Being the nice mom that I am thought it was a fabulous idea, that saved me a ton of time, money and effort.
So we went to Kangaroo Zoo and we were about the only ones there and had the best time ever!

What's New...

Life has been a little crazy but what do you expect with a new baby...right?

We celebrated my birthday the day after we brought the baby home.
I got spoiled with lots of fun decorations, cute presents, my favorite bundt cake, and take out from Cheesecake Factory!

We had a back to school fashion show..the kids had a blast and it was pretty cute watching them

The first day of school!
We had no power since the day before so it was kind of an interesting morning, but they still managed to look fabulous!
Riley looking all glam
Ryker the stud!
The Fam

Rayden didn't start till yesterday
She looked so dang cute!
Can not believe she is big enough to go to preschool

Sweet little baby Radlyn all dressed up and no place to go
We don't really take her out much, but don't know how much longer I can stay in..kinda going stir crazy :)
She has been doing alot of sleeping and she really is a good baby so far!
It's amazing how much a little newborn baby changes things but we are really loving having her home with us.
Our lives have gotten so busy with school starting, dance, piano, tumbling, you name it we seem to be doing it! It is nice to not have to work right now and stay home and be a Momma, but I do miss talking too and seeing other adults!  Until next time....
