Pink Punk Rocker

So Riley went to a "make-over" birthday party a little while ago and this is how she came home. Pink hair, with purple glitter, purple eye shadow and mascara, face painted, pedicure, manicure, she got the works! The only problem was we had to go shopping that afternoon and people sure like to stare at a 5yr. old with pink hair. It was also raining and we had pink hair color on everything! (Sorry about your jacket Lynz - did it ever come out?) Riley has never had so much fun at a party. She is definetly a girly girl!

It took me awhile to post these, but we had Ryker's 3rd birthday last week. it was total chaos, but we had tons of fun with lots of little kids and parents everywhere. I can't believe how old Ryker is - time flies when you are having fun - I am having fun right?

Labor Day Fun!

We went to Park City and rode the coaster (it's like the alpine slide but its more like a roller coaster). Riley and I waited for 1 1/2 hours - I still haven't decided if it was worth the wait or not, but it was fun! Then we had to do the bouncy park and they had a blast. We ended our day with Jason's softball game, and by the time we got home we were all pretty worn out! It sure is fun to do stuff together as a family - I love it when my kids have fun and are happy!

BIG BOY!!!

Ryker says good-bye to his binkies and hello to a new skateboard. My little boy is growing up. He is turning three on Sept.9 - and isn't waisting any time. For anyone who knows Ryker, you know his great love for his binkies or his "Dee's" as he calls them. Well there were 3 left on his binkie holder and they got lost Saturday morning. After looking forever - Jason told him he could finally get a skateboard because he had no more "Dee's". So we went to the store and bought a skateboard. (We have been telling him for months that if he got rid of his binkies he could have a skateboard). He got rid of them on accident - we found them later and hid them again and told him the Binkie fairy has them. He has done so well - I can't believe it. He only asks for them when he gets tired and we have had a few moments when he tells us he doesn't want the skateboard anymore and he wants his "Dee's". We are going on 4 days now!
I took the picture of his binkie collection so we could remember them - but I just couldn't get myself to throw them away. They're in hiding! He has also been wearing his big boy underwear with very few accidents and went to nursery with no tears this week. Trust me these are huge accomplishments! My cute little boy is growing up!!!

Ist Day of School!

I can't believe Riley is old enough to go to kindergarten! She was so excited she woke up at 6 o'clock this morning and couldn't fall back to sleep! She has been counting down the days and it finally arrived. I know she will have lots of fun and make some new friends, but I can't help but be a little sad and worried about her. When I went to hug her goodbye I got all tear-eyed and I really didn't think that would happen. She is so grown up and ready for this that I can't help but be excited for her. She is in a spanish immersion program and the teacher was talking to them in spanish and I was getting a little worried - I had no idea what she was saying. Riley is quick learner so I am sure she will pick it up. So many fun things happening! Ryker and Rayden get to stay home with Mom. I think he is going to have a hard time without somebody to play with (or I'm going to have a hard time without him having someone to play with!) and Rayden might get to have a few moments of peace. Riley loves her so much she can hardly leave her alone.

We were getting ready to walk to school

Riley in all the chaos!

(I think she was a little overwhlemed with the mass amounts of kids)
