My Night With The Fire Department

Last night I got to go on a ride-a-long with the Fire Department. I had to do it for school, but it was one of the coolest things I have ever done!!! I got to ride in the fire truck for all 5 of the calls we went on. They said that I was the ride-a-long curse because they never get that many when students come, so I was pretty excited. We went to a couple car accidents, another one for an elderly lady who had passed out, and then a gun shot wound (I'll spare you the details). The whole experience was incredible and I loved it. After we got back from all the calls, the guys talked me into climbing the ladder. I was shaking the whole time, but it was worth it. They had the ladder out about 125 feet, and once I got to the end and was latched on and leaning over, they put the ladder up straight, that was freaky, and then they spun the ladder 360 degrees, it was quite the view let me tell you! They have a pretty exciting job and they all seemed to really enjoy what they do, they were so nice and made my experience incredible!
All dressed up!!!
Starting the climb...

Still climbing...

Almost there

And finally latched on
(they guys told me after that they thought I was going to climb off the edge because I just kept going, I thought I was suppose to go to the end..oops)

Yeah....we were pretty far up there
So much fun though :)

Look who's walking.....

Rayden has been walking for a couple weeks, but only a few steps here and there. She is finally getting brave enough to just take off on her own and she is starting to really get the hang of it. She usually ends up falling down and takes off crawling because it's so much faster. The kids get so excited for her. She is getting so big and we can already see the little attitude coming out! Can't wait for more of that. Time flies, I can't believe she is old enough to walk, I wanted her to stay a little baby forever!

So Big!!!

Tooth Fairy

Riley finally lost her first tooth! It has been loose for awhile (long enough that the new one is already growing in) and we were showing Jason how loose it was and he pulled on it hard enough to make it bleed. So after she stopped crying, I pulled it out the rest of the way (it basically fell out in my hand) She was quite excited and very anxious for the tooth fairy to come.

Someone at church told her that the first tooth is a special tooth and you get a lot of money for the first one. It was so kind of her to tell Riley that! When Riley woke up the next morning she found 5 dollars under her pillow ! Of course I had to explain that from now on, teeth aren't worth that much so don't expect more than a dollar!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I couldn't let today pass without telling my mother and mother-in-law how much I love them
First to my mom
She is an incredible example to me. Some how she had 6 kids and is still somewhat sane, I have no idea how she managed this, but now that I have kids, I am completely in awe of what she did when we were young. I hope someday I turn out to be half the mom she has been to all of us. My mom always spoiled us rotten with the perfect birthday's and fabulous Christmas's. She has given me some wonderful opportunities (ie..school, trips, etc) and taught me how to be a better mom. Mom - you are an incredible woman, thanks for giving me advice and listening to me complain when no one else really wanted to. What better gift to have than a mom who is always there for you and loves you unconditionally. Thank you for all you have done for us.
I Love You MOM!

And to my Mother-in-law
I would never survive a day without her. She is an incredible person. She has watched my kids since I had Riley, when I went back to work, and continues to take care of them as I go to nursing school. I would never have made it this far without her. She has come out to my house if needed, takes my kids places they need to go, and just loves them, even when she has probably had enough of them. I can't thank her enough for being so wonderful to us, and also for raising such an incredible son. So thank you for all you do to take care of us and being such an good grandma too!
We Love you!

Trip to Vegas!!!

I know this slide show is kinda long, but we had so much fun on our trip to Las Vegas I had to share it all. During my short 2 week break from school we decided to go visit my family in Las Vegas for a few days. My dad was here helping my sister move, so the kids and I flew back with him Wednesday night. My kids having been dying to go on a plane and it seemed like it would work out perfect....they loved it Rayden hated it. She screamed almost the entire time. Oh well, what do you do? We had so much fun hanging out the first day and really not doing much but play at the park and swim at the pool. Jason drove down Thursday night while we were at a play with my family.

Friday was Jeremy's (Jason's brother) birthday so we got to go spend time with them and had a blast playing in their backyard and having a barbecue. Thanks Jer & Jax!

Saturday we got to go to the Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage and it was so cool. They don't do shows, they just train the dolphins and we got lucky, because they were training almost the entire time we were there. They also have a little zoo with the white tigers and a few other animals. That night my mom took all the girls to dinner and a movie...nothing better than a night with no kids :)

Sunday we had a family party to celebrate everyone's birthdays from April and May, and also Mother's day. It was a fun party, complete with diner, playing the Wii, presents, cake, and some entertainment with the new shocking game. It was pretty funny.

Unfortunately our trip didn't end so well, we were just leaving my mom's when our car started to die and long story short, a lot of money and a new alternator later, we were on our way 4 hours later. It didn't matter though because we had so much fun we didn't want to go home anyway. Thanks to everyone for entertaining us and playing with us. We had a blast!

Rayden's Birthday Party's

We got to celebrate Rayden's birthday several times. She had lots of fun and got spoiled rotten!
