Happy Birthday to....Me!!!!

The dreaded day finally arrived

I turned the big 30!!!!!

I really have not been to excited for my birthday this year, who wants to turn 30?

Not me. But I did and I survived and of course like every other birthday as an adult, you don't feel any different, not any older, not any smarter, and not any better looking!

It was so much more fun as a kid when your birthday came and you felt soooo special!

The whole world revolved around you that day, but those days are gone and when you are a mom, you still get to get up and take care of the kids and do all those everyday duties, even if it is your birthday. Thank goodness I got to go to Vegas last weekend with no kids! (I'll will get to posting that someday). It was the best early birthday present ever!!!!
We did have a fun day though. The kids and I went to Lagoon and happen to run into some friends of ours so it turned out even better than I planned. We finished the day by opening a few presents, going to eat at Olive Garden (everyone should go to eat with 3 kids :o), a game of bowling, tennis, and golf on the Wii, and some dessert. It was a fabulous day!

FINALLY FINISHED!!!!!

Yea! I took my last final today and I am officially done with nursing school! It has been an incredibly long 2 years but I hope it is all worth (maybe when I get a nice pay check?). I don't graduate till Friday, but all the studying is done. No more tests (except NCLEX for my state license), no more clinicals (aka "working for free"), no more studying all day and night, no more stupid homework assignments and papers to write! I can finally play and hang out with my family and just do absolutely nothing. I can't wait!

Update....

The last few weeks have been as crazy as ever. With all the studying and tests I have had, there hasn't been room for a whole lot more, but some how there always is! This is just a few of the highlights of the last few weeks! Unfortunately my camera was dead for the last couple days, so I don't have any pictures, but Jas had the day off for the 24th of July celebrations so we went to the lake. The worst day to not have a camera, Riley rode the air chair with Jas and then she knee boarded all by herself..hopefully she will do it again for the camera. That night we had a few friends over for a BBQ and to watch the fireworks. Lots of fun and lots of chaos! The day before that we went to the Bee's baseball game for Jason's work party. They had a dinner before, the kids had a blast but it was soooo hot! Jason's cousin Kellianne got married last week so the next couple of pictures are from her reception...

Jason with Rayden & Brooklyn
(They are only 4 days apart)
The fam..why is it so difficult to get a good picture?
I love my brother!!!!

ahhh.....so sweet

Mom & Rayden
Isn't she cute?
This is Rayden in the tub after she got stung by 3 wasps
and the day before fell and hit her head
It's amazing they survive!
My last day to EVER wear these ugly smurf scrubs!
No more clinicals..YEA!!!!!

Ryker learns to ride with no training wheels
It only took about 30 seconds and he was on his own

Riley also lost her 2nd tooth and had a visit from the tooth fairy, I passed my exit exam, although we aren't done yet, and we are all still around to talk about it. It's been crazy but we sure are having fun...I think!

Fun Filled 4th

I know this is a little late, but that is the story of my life these days! We had a lot of fun over the long 4th of July weekend. Jason's brother Jeremy and his family came to visit so we got to have tons of fun and basically never stopped. Unfortunately I missed out on the first two days because of school and clinicals, but Jason was kind enough take to take 2 days off work to play with everyone. They went to Lagoon for the day and I met them there after I got done with school. Thursday they went to the lake..without me, and then that night we had a BBQ at Jason's parents for the North Salt Lake fireworks show. We go every year and the kids love it. His parents live right there so it is so convenient. Friday the boys went 4 wheeling and I got to stay home with the girls (Jax, Marianne, Riley, Rayden, & Jared), ate some Cafe Rio, everyone took a nap (except for me). Saturday was another trip to the lake for some air chairing, water skiing and hanging out in the sun. We topped the night of with dinner at Texas Roadhouse with no kids...It was fabulous!!!!!! We were so worn out from all our fun adventures it took us a while to recover.

My Night With The Fire Department

Last night I got to go on a ride-a-long with the Fire Department. I had to do it for school, but it was one of the coolest things I have ever done!!! I got to ride in the fire truck for all 5 of the calls we went on. They said that I was the ride-a-long curse because they never get that many when students come, so I was pretty excited. We went to a couple car accidents, another one for an elderly lady who had passed out, and then a gun shot wound (I'll spare you the details). The whole experience was incredible and I loved it. After we got back from all the calls, the guys talked me into climbing the ladder. I was shaking the whole time, but it was worth it. They had the ladder out about 125 feet, and once I got to the end and was latched on and leaning over, they put the ladder up straight, that was freaky, and then they spun the ladder 360 degrees, it was quite the view let me tell you! They have a pretty exciting job and they all seemed to really enjoy what they do, they were so nice and made my experience incredible!
All dressed up!!!
Starting the climb...

Still climbing...

Almost there

And finally latched on
(they guys told me after that they thought I was going to climb off the edge because I just kept going, I thought I was suppose to go to the end..oops)

Yeah....we were pretty far up there
So much fun though :)

Look who's walking.....

Rayden has been walking for a couple weeks, but only a few steps here and there. She is finally getting brave enough to just take off on her own and she is starting to really get the hang of it. She usually ends up falling down and takes off crawling because it's so much faster. The kids get so excited for her. She is getting so big and we can already see the little attitude coming out! Can't wait for more of that. Time flies, I can't believe she is old enough to walk, I wanted her to stay a little baby forever!

So Big!!!
